Apple Valley government (June 23, 2016)

In Thursday’s op-ed section a writer asked … What harm will be created if the Yucca Loma Bridge is not opened?

Let me suggest that those of us who provide services to the east side of Victorville will have more ready access to the writer and his friends and neighbors in Spring Valley Lake. Maybe they will put more pressure on their elected officials to get their own problems solved before they become bigger problems.

Our Apple Valley government officials are very well convinced that their government skills are better than semi-government/private water management skills will be. I hope that their government skills prove to be better than their costly purchase and management of the Apple Valley Golf Course and restaurant has turned out thus far. The average citizen in Apple Valley is now paying for the costly pleasures of a privileged few former golf course owners who made their costly exercise and amusement location become the burden of all of us Apple Valley residents.

I suggest that the Town of Apple Valley sell the golf course and get out of City management businesses. The Hilltop House recent purchase by the town is another example of a city management business in the future.
